Drop in and Decorate

Did_logo

One of my favorite food blogger friends, Lydia started a wonderful program called Drop in & Decorate five years ago. It’s a simple concept: bake some cookies, invite friends or family (or co-workers or neighbors) to drop by and help decorate, and donate your cookies to a local food pantry, emergency shelter, senior center, lunch program, or other group serving people in difficult circumstances during the holiday season.

This year , King Arthur Flour is partnering with The Perfect Pantry to offer a baking kit that will help people host their own Drop In & Decorate party.

Check out Lydia's site for more details .

Veron, thank you so much for helping to spread the word!

Yay! I love her cause, I blogged about it too :)

That sounds like fun! Great program! :) Sorry to hear about your macarons (below) but knowing you you will have the last laugh with a gorgeous bounty of perfect macarons!

That's cool, I don't know I never thought of that. I invite a group of friends over the day before Thanksgiving every year and we prepare 6-10 full dinners that are delivered to needing homes by a local church every Thanksgiving morning.

I've never been able to accomplish the same for Christmas, though. Thanks for the info and link.
